To have my photograph taken is not an idea that would've occured to me hadn't it been for a striking work by a striking artist. Matthieu Parent is the one. He has endeavoured to give portraits a new - old - life, far away from conventions but very close to his talent and heart. Ambrotypes were in fashion during the 50's. I mean the 1850's... Me faire tirer le portrait ne me serait jamais venu à l'esprit si ce n'avait été pour un travail sortant de l'ordinaire par un artiste sortant de l'ordinaire. Il s'agit de Matthieu Parent. Il a entrepris de donner aux portraits une nouvelle - ancienne - vie, au-delà des conventions mais proche de son talent et de son coeur.
